My dad was a fire chief and kept this real fire bell on his desk for many years. When he passed away my mom put it on her hearth and I decided to do the same when I inherited the bell. It's really heavy and I didn't want to move it this year to store for Christmas so decided to decorate the bell with fire ornaments from both my parent's collection and mine for the first time. I'm sure this is just the first of many Christmases that the bell will display ornaments as everyone in our family really loves Dad's bell and the memories it holds.
